PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Adult Road Test Package at is designed to help adults prepare for their Texas DPS road test while receiving additional behind-the-wheel instruction before the examination. This package combines two hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons with a Texas-authorized DPS road test, giving students additional time to review their driving skills, practice important maneuvers, and build confidence before taking the official road test.
The two-hour driving lesson package is ideal for adults who already have driving experience but would like additional practice before completing their road test. The extra lesson time gives students more opportunity to identify and improve areas where they may need additional instruction.
2 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL DRIVING LESSONS
The two hours of driving instruction give students extra time to prepare for their road test with guidance from a professional instructor. The instructor will review essential driving skills, observe driving habits, and provide feedback to improve confidence and safety.
Lessons may cover steering and vehicle control, turning, lane changes, merging, signaling, following distance, parking, traffic signs, speed control, and other road-test maneuvers. Students may also request additional practice in specific areas they want to improve.
ROAD TEST SCHEDULING
Students have the flexibility to choose when they would like to take their DPS road test. The road test may be scheduled after completing the driving lessons or at a later date based on the student’s availability and scheduling preferences.
Taking the road test after completing the driving lessons can allow students to apply the skills they just practiced while the information and techniques are still fresh.
