PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This 3-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lesson Package at My First Drive Driving School is designed for students who want additional driving practice and more time behind the wheel. Students receive one-on-one instruction from a TDLR-certified driving instructor in a structured and supportive environment.
This package includes three hours of driving instruction and practice but does not include the DPS road test. For students who need both three driving lessons and the road test, a separate package is available that combines the required driving instruction with the Texas-authorized DPS road test.
3 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL INSTRUCTION
Students will receive three hours of individualized driving instruction with a TDLR-certified driving instructor. During the lessons, the instructor will evaluate the student’s current driving ability and provide guidance based on their individual needs.
Students may request that the instructor focus on specific skills they would like to improve. Otherwise, the instructor will identify areas that need additional practice and use the lesson time to work on those skills.
Depending on the student’s experience and needs, instruction may include:
-
Proper steering and vehicle control
-
Turning and lane positioning
-
Lane changes and merging
-
Traffic signs and signals
-
Speed control and following distance
-
Parking and other driving maneuvers
-
Safe driving habits and road awareness
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
Students can schedule their driving lessons through the online scheduling system based on available appointment times 7 days a week. This provides flexibility for students and parents to select lesson times that work with their schedules.
The three hours may be used to build confidence, improve specific driving skills, or prepare for future driving requirements.
IMPORTANT: This package includes 3 hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction only. Any driver education course, additional observation hours, DPS road test, or other services are not included unless specifically stated in the selected package.
Students should ensure they complete all other applicable Texas driver education and licensing requirements separately.
