To take the road test, students must bring the following:

• A valid Texas Learner's Permit
• Texas Driver License Application for Minor (DL-14B)
• IMPACT Texas Teen Driver (ITTD) Certificate
• Texas Driver Education Certificate (32-hour classroom or online course)
• 30-hour Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) Driving Log | Example

Note: A teen must hold the permit for at least 6 months before a teen is eligible to take the road test.

Note: If there are specific skills or areas the student would like to work on, please let the instructor know at the start of the lesson — or have a parent share them ahead of time — so the session can be tailored to the teen's needs. Otherwise, the instructor will identify and focus on the areas where they notice deficiencies during the lesson.
