PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The 4-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lesson Package at My First Drive Driving School is designed for students who want additional time behind the wheel to practice and strengthen their driving skills with a professional instructor. Each lesson provides individualized instruction based on the student’s experience, comfort level, and areas for improvement.
This package includes four hours of driving instruction and does not include the DPS road test. Students who need both four driving lessons and the road test can choose a separate package that combines the driving instruction with the Texas-authorized DPS road test.
4 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL INSTRUCTION
Students receive four hours of driving instruction with a TDLR-certified driving instructor. The instructor will evaluate the student’s driving and provide guidance throughout the lessons.
Students may request to work on specific skills or driving situations they would like to improve. If no specific areas are requested, the instructor will identify areas that need additional practice and tailor the lessons accordingly.
Driving instruction may include:
-
Vehicle control and steering
-
Turns and lane positioning
-
Lane changes and merging
-
Traffic signs and signals
-
Speed control and following distance
-
Parking and other driving maneuvers
-
Safe driving habits and awareness
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
Students can schedule their driving lessons online based on available appointment times. The additional lesson time allows students to practice consistently and become more comfortable behind the wheel.
IMPORTANT: This package includes 4 hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction only. Driver education courses, observation hours, DPS road tests, and other services are not included unless specifically stated in another package.
Students are responsible for completing any additional Texas driver education or licensing requirements that apply to them.
