PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The 6-Hour Adult Online Driver Education Course at My First Drive Driving School is designed for adults who need to complete the required driver education course as part of the Texas driver licensing process. The course provides a convenient online option for adults who prefer to complete their required education from home rather than attending a traditional classroom. This course is designed for eligible adults who are working toward obtaining their Texas learner’s permit or driver license and need to complete the required adult driver education course.
6-HOUR ONLINE ADULT DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE
The online course covers important information that adults need to know before operating a vehicle on Texas roads. Students will learn about Texas traffic laws, road signs and signals, safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, sharing the road, and other essential driver education topics.
The online format gives students the flexibility to complete the required coursework from home while following the course requirements. This makes the program a convenient option for adults with busy work, school, or family schedules.
Students must successfully complete all required portions of the course in order to receive their certificate.
TEXAS DRIVER EDUCATION CERTIFICATE (DE-964)
After successfully completing the 6-hour adult driver education course, the student will receive the applicable Texas Driver Education Certificate (DE-964). The student can take the certificate to the DPS along with all DPS required documents to complete the licensing process and obtain their Texas learner license/permit.
IMPORTANT: Completing the 6-hour course and receiving the certificate does not automatically issue a learner’s permit or driver license. Students must still meet all applicable Texas DPS requirements and complete any additional steps required for their individual licensing process.
