Advanced Adult Complete Drivers Ed Package

This package includes:

• 6-Hour State-Approved Online Adult Driver Ed Course
• 16 Hours of Private In-Car Driving Instruction
• DPS-Certified Road Test in Texas

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This all-inclusive driver education package is designed for adults 18 years and older who are beginning the licensing process. Approved by TDLR, it offers everything needed to meet state requirements and earn a Texas driver’s license.

6-HOUR ONLINE ADULT COURSE

Texas requires adults between 18 and 24 years old applying for their first license to complete a 6-hour driver education course. This online course is state-certified and can be taken from home, at your own pace, and on your own schedule.

After finishing the lessons, students complete the final exam online. Once passed, a certificate of completion is issued, which must be shown at the DPS office to apply for a learner’s permit. Multiple test attempts are permitted until successfully passed.

Documents You’ll Need at DPS for a Learner’s Permit:

• Proof of identity (birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card)
• Social Security card
• Two proofs of Texas residency

16 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL LESSONS

The package also includes sixteen hours of one-on-one instruction with a professional, TDLR-licensed driving instructor. Lessons are available throughout the week, and appointments can be booked online for maximum convenience.

Note: Driving practice can only begin once the student has received a valid learner’s permit.

DPS ROAD TEST

The program concludes with the official DPS driving test, which is administered at the school for added convenience.

Road Test Requirements:

• Completion of the 6-Hour Adult Driver Education Course (required for ages 18–24)
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers program
