PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This Texas adult driver’s education program is tailored for adults 18 years and older who hold a learner’s permit and are committed to comprehensive driver training. TDLR-certified, this package provides extensive behind-the-wheel instruction combined with the official DPS road test, ensuring students develop the skills, confidence, and legal qualifications required to drive safely across Texas.

27 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL lessons

Students will participate in 27 hours of one-on-one driving lessons with a certified TDLR instructor. This extensive training covers all aspects of safe driving including defensive driving, city navigation, highway merging, parallel and angle parking, traffic signal management, turning maneuvers, and test-specific skills needed to pass the Texas DPS driving exam.

Lessons are scheduled with flexibility seven days a week to accommodate student availability. Vehicles are equipped with dual controls for maximum safety, and instructors provide detailed feedback after each session to build proficiency and confidence. The extended training time ensures students are fully prepared for real-world driving scenarios as well as the DPS road test.

Note: Students must hold a valid Texas learner’s permit before beginning in-car lessons.

DPS ROAD TEST

This program includes the official Texas DPS driving test, offered directly at our driving school. Testing on-site allows students to take their exam in a familiar environment, reducing stress and eliminating long waits at DPS offices. Completing both the training and road test at the same location streamlines the licensing process for adult learners.

Road Test Requirements:

• Must present a valid Texas learner’s permit
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) course
