PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our Texas adult driver education program is designed for adults 18 and older who already have a valid learner’s permit and are ready to move forward toward earning their driver’s license. Certified by TDLR, this package emphasizes real-world driving practice and concludes with the official DPS road test in Texas. It’s the most efficient way to complete your driver training while preparing for state licensing requirements.

8 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING

Students will complete eight hours of in-car, one-on-one instruction with a licensed TDLR instructor. These lessons focus on developing safe driving habits, defensive driving techniques, and the skills needed to pass the DPS exam. Training covers city driving, highway merging, lane changes, turns, parking maneuvers, and managing different traffic conditions.

All lessons are private and tailored to the student’s experience level, making them ideal for new drivers as well as those needing more confidence before the driving test. Scheduling is flexible with sessions available seven days a week, and all vehicles are equipped with dual controls for maximum safety.

Note: A valid Texas learner’s permit is required before beginning behind-the-wheel training.

DPS ROAD TEST

The package also includes the official Texas DPS driving test, offered directly at our school. Instead of waiting for limited DPS availability, students can test in a familiar, comfortable environment, making the process faster and less stressful.

Road Test Requirements:

• Must hold a current Texas learner’s permit
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers online program

With this package, adults can complete their behind-the-wheel driving lessons and take the DPS road test all in one location. It provides the most convenient, time-saving path from permit to full Texas driver’s license while ensuring students build the confidence and skills needed for safe driving.
