Core Adult Complete Drivers Ed Package

This package includes:

• 6-Hour TDLR-Approved Online Adult Driver Education Course
• 10 Hours of Professional Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons in Texas
• Texas DPS-Authorized Road Test

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our complete Texas adult driver education package is tailored for adults ages 18 and older who are beginning the licensing process. Fully certified by TDLR, this program provides every requirement needed to obtain a Texas driver’s license, including classroom training, in-car instruction, and the DPS driving test.

6-HOUR ONLINE DRIVER EDUCATION COURSE

Texas law requires adults between 18 and 24 years old to complete a 6-hour online driver education course before applying for their first license. This state-approved course can be completed entirely online, allowing students to study at their own pace from home or anywhere with internet access.

At the end of the course, students take an online exam. After passing, they receive an official certificate of completion, which must be presented at the DPS office to apply for a learner’s permit. Students may retake the exam until they pass.

Documents Required at DPS to Obtain a Learner’s Permit:

• Proof of identity (birth certificate, U.S. passport, or permanent resident card)
• Social Security card
• Two separate documents verifying Texas residency

10 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL DRIVING LESSONS

This package also provides ten hours of private, in-car driving lessons with a licensed TDLR instructor. These one-on-one lessons focus on safe driving techniques, road awareness, and preparing students for the DPS driving exam in Texas. Sessions are available seven days a week, and students can schedule lessons online for added flexibility.

Note: Driving instruction can only begin once the student has received a valid learner’s permit.

DPS ROAD TEST

The program concludes with the DPS-approved road test, which is administered directly at our school for convenience. Students can complete all steps — education, behind-the-wheel training, and road testing — in one place.

Road Test Eligibility:

• Completion of the 6-Hour Texas Adult Driver Education Course (required for ages 18–24)
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers online program
