PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our Texas adult driver’s education package is ideal for adults 18 years and older who already have a learner’s permit and are ready to advance toward obtaining a full Texas driver’s license. This TDLR-approved program combines extensive behind-the-wheel driving lessons with the official DPS road test, ensuring students gain the practical skills and official evaluation required to drive legally and safely across Texas.

13 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING

Students complete 13 hours of one-on-one driving instruction with a licensed TDLR-certified instructor. Lessons cover essential skills including defensive driving, lane positioning, highway merging, parallel and angle parking, intersection navigation, and vehicle control. Training is tailored to the student’s experience level to build confidence and competence behind the wheel.

Lessons are available seven days a week with flexible online scheduling. All vehicles are equipped with dual controls for added safety, and instructors provide detailed feedback after every session. This ensures students are fully prepared for both everyday driving and the Texas DPS road exam.

Important: Students must have a valid Texas learner’s permit before starting in-car lessons.

DPS ROAD TEST

Included in the package is the official Texas DPS driving test, conducted on-site at our licensed driving school. Testing in a familiar environment reduces stress and avoids long wait times at DPS offices, allowing students to take their exam immediately after completing their training.

Road Test Requirements:

• Must present a valid Texas learner’s permit
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers (ITYD) program
