Gold Teen Complete Drivers Ed Package

The package includes

• 32-Hour Online Teen Driver Education Program
• 37 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons
• 7 Hours of Observation Training
• DPS-Authorized Road Exam (conducted at our school)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This is a comprehensive drivers ed package designed for teens ages 14–17 who have not yet taken any steps towards obtaining a driving license.  As a TDLR-certified program, it provides all required coursework, in-car instruction, and testing needed to begin driving legally in Texas.

32-Hour Online Driver Education Course (DE-964)

The online course is the first step toward obtaining a learner’s permit. It is fully approved by the state and can be accessed from home at any time, making it easy for students to move at their own pace.

• Students may begin the program at 14 years old.
• After finishing the first 6 hours, they can take the built-in test to qualify for their permit.
• If the exam is not passed right away, it may be retaken until successful.

Upon passing the exam, students receive a Learner’s Certificate, which must be taken to the DPS with a parent or guardian in order to get the permit.

Documents required at the DPS:

• Original birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, or permanent resident (green) card
• Social Security card
• Two proofs of Texas residence
• Verification of current school enrollment (or summer report card)

37 Hours of In-Car Driving Practice

Texas requires a total of 37 behind-the-wheel hours for teen drivers. This package covers all 37 hours with a licensed instructor.

• Driving sessions are available daily.
• Students schedule their own lessons through the online booking portal on our website
• All lessons are taught by state-certified driving instructors.

Note: Teens must already hold their learner’s permit before beginning these driving sessions.

ONSITE TEXAS DPS Road Test 

The package also provides the official road exam, which can be taken directly at our school for added convenience.

Road test eligibility requires:

• Permit must be held for a minimum of six months
• Completion of all 37 driving hours
• A valid certificate from the Impact Texas Teen Driver program
