PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This Texas adult driver’s education package is built for adults who are ready to move beyond the permit stage and prepare for a full driver’s license. Approved by TDLR, it combines professional driving instruction with the official DPS road exam, giving students the training and testing they need in one place. Whether you are new to driving or looking to sharpen your skills, this program ensures you are road-ready and confident.

7 HOURS OF BEHIND-THE-WHEEL LESSONS

Students receive 7 hours of personalized one-on-one driving lessons with an experienced TDLR-certified instructor. Each session focuses on the skills needed for safe, responsible driving, such as defensive driving habits, lane changes, merging on highways, parking techniques, handling traffic signals, and overall vehicle control. The training is flexible and adapts to each student’s comfort and ability level.

Lessons are available every day of the week, making it simple to book sessions at convenient times. All vehicles are equipped with dual brakes for maximum safety, and instructors provide constructive feedback to help students improve after each drive. This ensures that every learner is fully prepared for both everyday driving and the DPS skills exam.

Note: Students must hold a valid Texas learner’s permit before beginning in-car instruction.

DPS ROAD TEST

The program also includes the official DPS driving test, administered directly at our licensed driving school. Taking the road test with us provides a familiar environment, reduces stress, and avoids long waits at DPS offices. Students can complete their practice sessions and then schedule the road exam at the same location for added convenience.

Road Test Eligibility:

• Must have a valid Texas learner’s permit
• Completion of the IMPACT Texas Young Drivers course
